History and culture by the waterside
Standing tall above the River Medway is the magnificent 13th Century castle, while Tonbridge also hosts the popular May festival, carnivals, and art exhibitions for you to enjoy each year.
Back in 1259, the Earl of Gloucester was granted the right to hold a weekly market here, and today there are now three – the flea market, Bank Street Market and a Sunday market – where you can go hunting for excellent bargains.
Leisure and relaxation
Flowing through Tonbridge is the River Medway, where you can hire all kinds of boats for a leisurely cruise or row. Fishing is very popular on the lakes and river here too. If you’re looking for something a little more active, the Old Racecourse Sportsground has tennis courts, putting greens and bowling grounds.
Still want more? Then head for the vibrant heart of central London to enjoy the diversity and exhilarating buzz of the city.

With excellent commuter links, just 9 miles from the M25, Cannons Wharf offers easy access to the surrounding area.
