Education

When moving into a new area, one of the first things that parents or prospective parents think of is the proximity to good local schools. At Redrow, we understand this, and aim to build developments in areas where schools are nearby.

 The closest primary school to Clifton Heights is Holsworthy Primary School on Sanders Lane. This school is well within walking distance, being less than half a mile from our new homes. When Holsworthy Primary School was visited by school watchdog Ofsted in 2012, it was judged to be a ‘Good’ school across all categories. Older children are catered for by Budehaven Community School which is a twenty minute drive away from Clifton Heights. In the school's last visit by Ofsted it was also judged to be ‘Good’, meaning that you can be confident of the level of education your children will receive. These local schools will accept mid phase admissions at points throughout the year, subject to available capacity.

Finding something to do around the vicinity of Clifton Heights is not difficult, whatever your interests. Golf lovers will be pleased to know that Holsworthy golf club is just over a mile and a half from your front door. This golf club offers a course with fantastic scenery, including views of Dartmoor from the vantage point on the 10th tee. In addition the club house has a great reputation for providing great menus.

 If you are more interested in watching films than a round of golf, the local cinema is in the nearby town of Bude, around 10 miles from Clifton Heights. As well as this, there are a variety of local leisure clubs and sports teams for you to enquire at to keep fit.
