Transport
Set just 22 miles from Liverpool and Manchester, with direct rail connections to both cities, Wigan is ideal for commuters. Trains to Manchester take just 38 minutes, while Liverpool can be reached in just 50 minutes. Wigan lies on the West Coast Mainline, reaching London in just 2 hours and Edinburgh in under 3 hours.
Wigan is also perfectly situated for the impressive North West motorway network, with the M6 and M58 just minutes away at Orrell, and the M61 just 7 miles to the East. Liverpool and Manchester airports are both within easy reach for national and international flights.
Shopping and Leisure
College Court sits opposite Wigan’s major retail and leisure park, Robin Park, bringing a huge range of shops and entertainment within walking distance. The Robin Retail Park hosts a major Asda store, along with the likes of Argos, Comet, Matalan and more, along with a selection of restaurants including Pizza Hut and Frankie & Benny’s. It is also home to an 11 screen Empire Cinema.
Nearby Wigan town centre also boasts a wide selection of shops and stores, including the Galleries Shopping Centre and the Grand Arcade. There is also a good selection of friendly restaurants and lively bars and clubs within the town centre.
Sports
Robin Park is also home to a major sports arena and tennis centre, which offers a huge selection of sports from specialist sports like athletics and gymnastics to popular games like tennis and five aside football. Wigan is also ringed by golf courses in every direction around the town.
If you prefer to watch than take part, the DB Stadium is home to Premier League football with Wigan Athletic, as well as top rugby league with Wigan Warriors. More Premier League action can also be found close by in Manchester and Liverpool. Haydock Park and Aintree host regular race meetings, including the world famous Grand National.
Outdoors
Parson’s Meadow close to College Court is the ideal place to walk the dog or stretch your legs. However, if you fancy a longer walk, you couldn’t be better placed, with the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Peak District national parks all within and hour’s drive and North Wales and Snowdonia also within easy reach.

St Marks Church of England Infants and Juniors is within walking distance of the development, while seniors have a choice of high schools in and around the town. Health services can be found at the Newtown Clinic on Ormskirk Road, with NHS dental services provided by Family Dentistry, also on Ormskirk Road.
