Tiddy Brook Meadows is situated on the Plymouth Road just off the A386 on the south side of Tavistock. It can be reached along the A386, southwards from Okehampton (itself on the east-west A30 trunk road through Devon) or Northwards from Plymouth. An alternative route is by travelling east-to-west through the beautiful scenery of Central Dartmoor and reaching Tavistock on the B3357. From Cornwall you can use the A390 via Callington and Gunnislake. .

Tavistock provides a range of leisure activities that include Meadowlands Leisure Pool for the swimmers. It also has cricket, golf, tennis and rugby clubs. Close to Tavistock you have Morwelham Quay and Dartmoor National Park. There are many nearby pretty villages in Devon and Cornwall, and a variety of National Trust properties to visit.

Tavistock also has a bus service which runs to Plymouth and the various villages around.

The ancient stannary town of Tavistock lies on the southwest edge of Dartmoor National Park it has a population of approx 11,000. The town provides a wide range of practical and interesting shops, markets, riverside park, leisure centre and theatres. Additionally there is a library, police station, hospital, doctors, dentists and veterinary surgeries.
