Your time
A former Charrter market town, Chorley's shopping arcades are as popular today as they ever were. Originating in 1498, the Flat Iron Market, named because everything sold was laid out on the ground, has developed from an agriculture produce market to one of the best open air markets in the North West, with near on 100 stalls every Tuesday!
If you're looking for a more exclusive day out, Botany Bay provides a unique retail and heritage experience. A converted Victorian Mill, it features five floors of antiques, crafts, furniture, amazing memorabilia and exhibits. Explore Dickensian style shops, the Victorian Market Place, and step back in time, or unwind in themed restaurants - there is just so much to choose from.
Chorley offers something for the whole family to enjoy: All Seasons Leisure Centre can be found on the A6, boasting impressive sports facilities and a swimming pool; Yarrow Valley, Astley and Cuerden Parks are all close by, whilst the thrills of Camelot Theme Park and the adventures of Puddletown Pirates at Botany Bay, can be reached in around 20 minutes.
