Lawes Chase

Townfield Lane, Farndon, Cheshire. CH3 6AB

Open countryside. Peaceful living.

Getting around

Ideally situated in a picturesque, rural location, Lawes Chase offers surprisingly easy access to Chester, Wrexham and North Wales. Crewe and Nantwich can also be reached without difficulty. Train stations in Chester and Wrexham place a whole range of destinations within easy reach. A regular bus service runs through the village, whilst those heading to more far flung destinations can find Manchester Airport around 45 minutes away.

A glimpse at the past

Farndon (Rhedynfre in Welsh) has an impressive heritage, renowned for many things, including the ancient River Dee bridge, which bridges the gap between Farndon and Holt. This nearby village has its place in history too – home to the impressive 13th century Holt Castle, which fell to Oliver Cromwell’s forces in 1647. Farndon is also reportedly the site of the first ever competitive horse race with riders, and nearby Chester Racecourse is said to be the oldest racecourse in Britain.

Time to call your own

A relaxed stroll with the family, or an up beat evening with friends, whichever way you want to spend your time, you’re so close to so much at Lawes Chase. Farndon has a good range of restaurants and bars to choose from, and is literally surrounded by pretty country walks. Stretton Water Mill is only three miles away, whilst Farndon itself boasts a bowling club, and pottery and craft studios – if you’re at a loose end on a Sunday afternoon.
