Welcome to the World Heritage City of Bath

Bath grew from a Roman Settlement which was created over 2.000 years ago. The city has been designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.

Historic Bath is situated approximately 13 miles South East of Bristol in lovely countryside. The city is a major draw for visitors from all around the world who come to enjoy the many interesting sites and experiences on offer.

There are many fine shops, restaurants, bars and also plenty of opportunities to enjoy the many cultural and historical activities on offer. There are numerous leisure and sports facilities. Rugby is tremendously popular in the city and there are other numerous activities from cricket to golf and rowing to name just a few.

Bath enjoys great road and rail connections. There are regular train links with London Paddington. Bristol Temple Meads is just a 15 minute journey away, giving access to major rail routes all over the country. The M4 and M5 motorways are nearby giving good access to all areas of the country. Bristol International Airport is approximately 15 miles away and there are regular flights to Europe and the USA.

Bath is a university city and also benefits from excellent educational facilities in the State and private sectors. There are well regarded primary and secondary schools with excellent results being achieved in all areas. In addition to the university there are also a number of colleges, adult training centres and language schools.
