Liverpool is well known for its entertainment value and there are always new exclusive bars and restaurants opening all over the city. For some history and heritage take a stroll around the Albert Dock with its museums and shops and rich maritime culture, its also has its own prestigious restaurants and bars where you may bump into some Mersey Stars of the football or soap world! Visit the Liverpool Empire Theatre where you can see show in its beautiful surroundings or catch a music concert at Liverpools Philharmonic Hall. Liverpool is famous for its love of sport, particularly its two premiership football teams, whose club grounds are just outside the city centre and a must to visit. Chill out with a walk round Speke Hall and Hale Village and lose yourself in the atmospheric house or restored garden, with woodland walks and magnificent views of the Mersey basin and North Wales hills

The transport services in and out of the City are excellent with a convenient bus route taking you into the City and regular bus and train services for commuting locally. For short haul flights Liverpool John Lennon Airport is just two miles away from Garston and now covers over 55 different destinations. Liverpool City Centre conveniently links to motorways M62 and M6, enabling easy access to destinations around the North West.

Amenities

Locally, there are no less that six primary schools in Garston, all are part of Speke Garston Education Action Zone, which is an education and regeneration programme established to improve performance in schools. There are also two high schools in Speke and Garston involved with the project. Liverpool as a city has excelled in its services for higher education with students coming from all parts of the UK to study in Liverpool's famous John Moores University and University of Liverpool.
