Location

Cwrt Penrhiwtyn is an ideal commuter base being just 2 miles from Neath town centre and within easy driving distance of Swansea and Port Talbot. Cwrt Penrhiwtyn is appoximately 3 miles from junction 41 of the M4 and being the heart of the road network in West Glamorgan, is close to the A465 Heads of the Valleys Road for easy and direct access to neighbouring towns and villages.

Recreation & Leisure

There are a numbe of recreational and leisure pursuits available locally to suit most tastes and abilities. Neath Leisure Centre is located close by, where facilites include badminton, squash and swimming. The area also boasts a number of outdoor leisure activities including golf, boating, fishing and water skiing for the more energetic. As well as a number of restaurants, theatres and cinemas there are also a great many places of interest to visit. Neath Castle, built in 1284, overlooks the town and Victoria Gardens, plus Neath Abbey built in 1130 is located in a delightful setting on the banks of the Tenant Canal and was once described as the fairest abbey in all of Wales. Both the delightful surrounding countryside of West Glamorgan and the renowned South Wales coastline, can be visited at any time of the year for a memorable day out for all.

Transport

Directly outside the development is a bus service operating a regular service to surrounding districts. The nearest British Rail Station can be located in the town centre from where services operate throughout the main Valley lines as well as many Inter-City routes for destinations further afield. The nearest main airport Cardiff International Airport can be found approximately 34 miles from the development at Rhoose, from where both domestic and international flights can be made.

Neath town centre offers a good selection of local shops and facilities expected in a busy market town including a renowned Victorian Covered market famous for its fresh produce and Welsh fare. For all the leading high street stores, banks and building societies, both Swansea and Cardiff can be easily reached by car or train. The area has a good selection of local authority infant, primary and secondary schools and playgroups, plus further education facilities can be found in Swansea and Cardiff. Neath Port Talbot Hospital is located close by and there are local doctors and dental practices available. Neath town centre also houses its own library and post offices and there are a number of churches of most denominations within the area.
