Location

Bridlington is famous for its sandy beaches and the working harbour where fishing boats still bring in their catches daily. Just a few minutes' walk from the harbour, the old town is sprinkled with 17th century buildings and curiosity shops. There is also an indoor shopping centre and a street market is held three days a week.

There a great selection of recreational activities to choose from, including sports and leisure centres, restaurants, cinemas and theatres and even a stately home offering walks around it beautiful grounds.

The Old Flamborough Head Lighthouse is the oldest in Britain. The harbour is 900 years old and still in daily working use. There is a bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs and nature reserves at Hornsea Mere and Danes Dyke offering over 2 1/2 miles of woodland sanctuary and breeding grounds for local animals and birds.

Transport

Bridlington is an ideal location for exploring the Yorkshire coast, and York and Hull are within easy reach via the road and rail network.
