Situated a few minutes from the city centre, Optima is within easy reach of a wealth of cultural, leisure, shopping and recreational facilities to suit all tastes and age groups.

Public transport is available close to the development and offers very good links to the City Centre. Both the City Bypass and Edinburgh International Airport are only a short drive away making this a very flexible base to live. There are local shops, schools, hostelries and Western General Hospital is also only a short distance away.

Recreation & Leisure

Edinburgh Castle is the focal point and most visible aspect of the city centre - its history and stunning viewpoints providing an enjoyable and stimulating family outing, as do the many museums, Botanic Gardens and, of course, the world class zoo. The Royal Yacht Britannia continues to be a big draw and a Concorde airliner is on display at the Museum of Flight, a few miles outside the city.

Each summer, Edinburgh hosts one of the most famous international arts festivals in the worls and its very European, cosmopolitan atmosphere is apparent all year round in the quality of its entertainment and cuisine - its has more pubs and restaurants per head than any other place in Scotland.

First class golf courses, such as Silverknowes golf course, are also in plentiful supply within the city boundaries. Beyond, into the Lothians, there are numerous other golf courses and excellent facilities for fishing, sailing and other sports.
