Shopping

The whole county has range of shops to cater to every budget. The historic farmers' market sells local produce and speciality foods. There are covered Victorian stalls, mill shops and factory outlets. The best place to shop is probably the city of Preston. There you find the well-known department stores and the usual high street outlets and also specialist independent boutiques for that unique gift. If you like speciality shops, then Botany Bay would be a good place to start. It is based in a converted Victorian mill in Chorley and is a 'big brand' seller. It is just off Junction 8 of the M61, open 364 days a year and the parking is free. The nearby town of Fleetwood has over 45 big stores.
