Well connected

Fleetwood’s golden days as a major transport hub for steamers to Scotland may be long gone, but the town still enjoys excellent transport links, with the expanded and extended A585 now reaching right to the heart of the town, linking quickly to the M55 and the North West motorway network. Electric trams run from the main street right through to Blackpool and beyond, while regular roll-on-roll-off ferries link to Larne in Northern Ireland and occasional ferries link to Douglas in the Isle of Man. Nearby Thornton Station offers rail connections to Preston and the West Coast Mainline services.

Close to the action

Just 8 miles north of Blackpool, you’re never far from the action in Fleetwood, yet the town remains far enough away that you don’t have to live with the crowds every day. And Fleetwood has plenty to offer itself, including golf links, kite surfing and a range of other popular seaside pastimes, as well as access to the 137 mile Lancashire Coastal Way, which runs along the delightful promenade. Fleetwood Marine Hall hosts a wide variety of shows and concerts throughout the year, including the famous Fylde Folk Festival, while a glittering array of international stars frequently perform in nearby Blackpool at venues such as the Winter Gardens and Tower Ballroom.

The development lies close to Freeport Fleetwood, an outlet village with over 50 big name stores offering major discounts. Fleetwood is also home to one of the largest covered markets in the North West, with over 250 permanent stalls to choose from. A large Tesco store in town will provide for all your weekly shopping and more.

Fleetwood is home to the highly regarded Rossall School offering top quality private day and boarding education for all ages. There are also five primary schools within walking distance and a choice of 3 local secondary schools, including a specialist sports college, Catholic and Church of England schools.
