Transport
Heathlands is perfectly situated within easy reach of Chester, Liverpool and Manchester. Just a short drive from the main A55 North Wales Trunk Road, with swift connections to the M53 and M56, and with rail links to Wrexham and Liverpool (via Bidston) commuting couldn’t be easier. There are also regular bus services to nearby villages and towns.
Shopping
Buckley boasts a modern pedestrianised shopping centre within walking distance of the development, with the ‘shopper’s paradise’ of Wrexham and historic Chester both just a short drive away. Jump the train and you’ll be in Liverpool in around 45 minutes, ready to tackle the superb shopping of the £1billion Liverpool One development. Alternatively, follow the A55 round to Ellesmere Port and enjoy some bargain shopping at Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village.
Leisure
Buckley has so much to offer, and Heathlands puts you right in the heart of it all, including a brand new swimming and leisure centre at Elfed Sports Complex, open spaces at The Common and Etna Country Park, plus a lively nightlife. Come the summer, you’ll find the whole town turns out for the Buckley Jubilee, with its travelling funfair and host of exciting events and attractions on The Common and throughout the town.
Out and about
The nearby coast road brings all the fun of the North Wales coast within easy reach, including the traditional seaside towns of Rhyl, Abergele and Colwyn Bay, all perfect for a family day out when the sun shines. Or head inland to the stunning peaks of Snowdonia National Park and enjoy a wealth of walking, climbing and other outdoor pursuits.

Heathlands is well served by schools, with a choice of three primary schools within easy walking distance at Mountain Lane, Drury and Buckley Southdown Primaries, while the area offers a choice of high schools also close by at Elfed High, Argoed High and Hawarden High.
