Transport

Whitehill Meadows lies off the A583 Preston New Road, just minutes from the end of the M55, linking to the M6 and the extensive north west motorway network beyond. Rail services from nearby Squires Gate and Moss Side stations link swiftly to the heart of Preston and mainline services to London and Scotland. For travel further afield, Blackpool airport is just a few minutes away.

Shopping

Whitehill Meadows is well served with local amenities, including a large local Tesco store under a mile away and both Booths and Asda also within easy reach. Blackpool’s Houndshill Shopping Centre has a wide range of stores, while a short drive to Preston offers an even wider choice, with the Fishergate and St Georges Shopping Centres, plus a large market. For a brand name bargain, head up the coast to Freeport Fleetwood.

Entertainment

From the famous Pleasure Beach, with its heart- stopping rides, to the international acts performing at the Tower Ballroom, from the glorious beaches to the excitement of helicopter trips from the end of the pier, Blackpool has so much to offer for every taste. Yet you can just as easily opt for a leisurely stroll along the stunning seafront at Lytham, a world away from the hustle and bustle of Blackpool. And don’t miss the famous Blackpool Zoo for a different day out for the family.

Out and about

There are miles and miles of glorious coastline to explore along the stunning Fylde coast, with beautiful clean beaches built for a day of family fun. Go a little further afield and you’ll find the spectacular mountains of the Lake District and rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales open up even more opportunities for your leisure and pleasure.

Local Services

Whitehill Meadows has a choice of four primary schools, including Catholic and CofE, all within a mile and a half of the development, while Highfield  Humanities College and St Georges CofE Business and Enterprise College both offer high school education close by. Private schooling can also be found at Piers House and Pennsylvania House.

Local doctors can be found at Harris Medical Centre, while dental services are provided locally by J Lord.
