Shaun Sumner

"I joined Redrow in May 2004 as Construction Director for Redrow Homes (North West), having worked in the construction industry for 20 years at different levels of management. Here, I'm responsible for effectively managing the company's construction function to ensure best practice is followed, costs are controlled and revenues maximised, while providing a quality product, safely and efficiently.

What appealed to me about working with Redrow was the company's reputation for quality and customer service - what gives me the most satisfaction is meeting happy customers!

One of the highlights of my time here at Redrow has been my involvement in developing our in house Assistant Site Manager Development Programme, an NVQ Level 3 qualification. It's fantastic to be able to give managers an excellent foundation that will help them move forward with their own careers. I see adequate training as the key to successful business.

Having spoken to some of the Site Managers who have now completed the course, they say they found it invaluable, especially the technical training, and they appreciated the opportunity they had to work towards the qualification during their working day. "
