Wed, Apr 19th 2006, 11:00
A day of family fun and entertainment will mark the new release of four-bedroom family homes to add to its three-bedroom favourites at Overton Grange in Cambuslang on Sunday April 23.
Redrow is creating a carnival atmosphere at its well-established Overton Grange venture with face painting, a children’s entertainer, canapés, show home treasure hunt and the chance to win a family two-day pass to the thrills and spills of Alton Towers.
Colin Crombie, operations director for Redrow Homes (Scotland), says: “We’ve planned a really exciting day for visitors with loads going on to entertain the kids while the adults get the chance to explore our show homes and get all the details about our latest releases.
“Overton Grange has matured into a fabulous development which we’re extremely proud of. We really recommend that home hunters come and see our established street scenes and our four-bedroom family homes released ready for the busy weekend, plus our collection of the ever-popular three-bedroom properties.”
The three-bedroom homes include the semi-detached Willow. Priced at £131,950 home hunters can reserve one for just £99, which is the perfect start for first-time buyers or young families looking to step up the property ladder.
The Willow features a cloakroom, lounge and kitchen/dinning room on the ground floor. The second floor has a family bathroom and three bedrooms including an en-suite to the master bedroom.
Meanwhile, the new release of detached, four-bedroom homes start from £173,950.
Colin adds: “To give visitors a real taste of Redrow’s three-bedroom and four-bedroom homes we’ve got both open for visitors to explore at Overton Grange. These come in the elegant and must-see shapes of the professionally decorated and fully furnished Chestnut and Hawthorn. It’s not just the children who’ll be kept entertained this Sunday.”
Overton Grange is just six miles south of Glasgow and within walking distance of Newton railway station, which runs frequent services to the city.
Closer to home, Cambuslang town centre has received a £11.4m boost from South Lanarkshire council to regenerate the town centre, including the main shopping precinct, making it a vibrant and more accessible focal point.
Everyone is welcome to explore the show homes at Overton Grange in Cambuslang from 10am to 5.30pm on Sunday, April 23, and join in the family fun events between 12pm and 3pm.
