Master the art of moving
Fri, Apr 7th 2006, 11:00
If the only thing standing in the way of buying the brand new home you want is selling your existing property, award wining house builder Redrow has the answer at its Stourscombe Vale development in Launceston, Cornwall.
In conjunction with local estate agents Miller & Son, Redrow can help people move quickly up the property ladder to a brand new Redrow home and make the whole moving process as easy as possible.
Sandra Dixon, sales manager for Redrow Homes (West Country) said: “Once you’ve found your dream Redrow home, it’s only natural that you will want to move in as quickly as possible. Historically we’ve had tremendous success with Mastermove, helping thousands of people to realise their dreams across the UK, and now we really want to share this easy and stress-free way to move home with West Country home buyers.
“Once a customer signs up to Mastermove, we manage the whole sales process on their behalf – by appointing a local estate agent, arranging a free valuation and monitoring the estate agent’s marketing activities on a weekly basis. And, most importantly, we pay the estate agent’s fees at the end of the day.
“We can even arrange for a home staging expert to provide one-to-one advice on how customers can present their existing home in order to maximise its sales value and achieve that all important sale.”
With a wide range of two, three and four-bedroom properties and current prices from £134,995 to £275,995, many of the people looking to buy a new home at Stourscombe Vale have a property to sell before they can trade up or maybe even downsize to a new home.
Shallon Hurford, sales negotiator at the Launceston branch of independent estate agency chain Miller & Son, says: “The market locally has been fairly buoyant since the New Year and we’ve taken quite a lot of new instructions in recent weeks.
“Flats are generally moving quite quickly, while other properties are maybe taking six to eight weeks to sell, depending on where they are and what they’re like. We’ve had some homes come to the market recently which have sold in just a few days and there seem to be quite a few people around who are looking for character properties.
“Redrow’s Mastermove scheme is a great initiative as it helps people achieve the new home they want with the minimum of fuss and, at the same time, it will stimulate the second hand market locally so everybody wins.”
Stourscombe Vale is Redrow’s first development in Cornwall and recently celebrated the launch of two beautifully furnished show homes to promote the 174 properties that are being built.
The four-bedroom, three-storey detached Ribble style show home benefits from a contemporary design and uses lots of impacting red colours. This stylish property boasts separate kitchen and dining areas on the ground floor as well as a large lounge ideal for entertaining friends or simply as a place to relax for all the family.
As a contrast, the three-bedroom Hardwick style show home is decorated using subtle and calming light colours including sage green and white.
The development is situated in Eastfields, on the south east outskirts of Launceston, and the A30 offers access to Exeter, Plymouth and Truro.
