Mon, Dec 17th 2007, 11:00

Embracing the notion of ‘be seen be safe’ the pupils of Welholme Infants School, on Heneage Road, will wear the vests when playing outdoors and when taking part in nature walks within the school grounds.

Teacher, Jenny Moore, says: “Due to the generous donation of these bibs from Redrow, we will now be able to participate in all aspects of outdoor play and physical exercise. The school appreciates such donations from local businesses and is impressed when they take the time to contribute to their local community.”

The community-aware housebuilder has also supported other schools across Yorkshire with similar donations of high visibility bibs as part of its commitment to health and safety.

Liz Cooper, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire) says “The new bibs will allow children to safely play outside whilst still being in easy view of the teachers - meaning piece of mind for both them and the parents.
“We are currently building new homes at in Scartho Park, Grimsby and are keen to get involved in the local community.”

The development, Kirks Paddock, boasts an impressive range of two, three and four-bedroom homes. The venture is ideally situated just two miles from Grimsby town centre and has easy access to motorway links for Hull, Doncaster, Leeds and Wakefield – making it an ideal dwelling for eager commuters.
