Redrow Homes (Midlands) has donated a Christmas tree to the St Edward’s Park Residents’ Association Social Group for its annual charity carol evening.
The event on Friday 21 December is being held in aid of the Donna Louise Trust Children’s Hospice and Bank House Day Centre for the elderly in Leek and will be attended by residents and special guests including The Chairman of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council Mrs Karen Maryon.
Julie Chapman, area sales manager for Redrow, says: “St Edwards Park has grown into a close-knit community and we were delighted to be able to offer our support to this worthwhile event organised by residents.”
Guests, led by Barber Shop singers and a brass quintet, will gather around the tree to sing traditional Christmas Carols.
The Christmas tree will also be adorned with red ribbons, which people will have the opportunity to sponsor for a loved one.
Janet Wheeler, social secretary for St Edwards’ Park Residents’ Association says: “We are really grateful to Redrow for their support, this donation is absolutely wonderful.
“Our first Carol Evening was a huge success and we are hoping that this year will be too.”
Redrow has refurbished the best parts of the old St Edward’s Hospital site and has built a host of new properties that fit in perfectly with the grandeur of the existing period buildings.
The over-riding features of St Edward’s Park are its impressive architecture and the lush green surroundings, with fabulous views over rolling countryside.
Available homes include one and two-bedroom apartments and four and five-bedroom houses, with prices from £99,950 to £449,950.
But more than just a housebuilder, Redrow prides itself on helping to create new communities and supporting those in which it builds – a philosophy which has helped the company to retain the BITC PerCent Standard for four consecutive years, for giving at least 1% of its pretax profits back to the community in donations, sponsorship, employee time or gifts in kind.
