Interior designer Samantha Stacey, 40, and her daughter Emma, 17, are delighted with their new ‘Lambourne’ home at Redrow Homes’ Tiddy Brook Meadows and love the flexibility and space that having three floors provides.
Samantha said: “I’ve owned a townhouse before and I think they are good value for money, with a layout that works really well. We’ve got a lovely spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner on the ground floor and an attached garage for extra storage space. Emma’s room is upstairs on the first floor along with another spare bedroom and family bathroom and I’m in the master bedroom on the top floor, which has the luxury of an en-suite bathroom.”
Samantha works in nearby Launceston and Emma goes to school in Tavistock.
Being an interior designer specialising in fabrics, Samantha naturally has a beautiful home and is looking forward to the summer to begin work on her new garden.
She added: “We’ve got the house and garden layout how we want it now and all that’s left to do is find the perfect planting and to design the outside living area . It’s ideal as its south facing so we get the sun all day. The whole house is perfect for us and because it’s brand new we were able to move in straight away without having to worry about doing any costly renovations or repairs. I wanted to move quite quickly and because I was a cash buyer it was as easy as walking into the Redrow sales office, choosing my plot and being told when I could move in.
“I’m originally from Plymouth but I’ve lived in Tavistock for the last 10 years and we really like the area. Tiddy Brook Meadows has got everything on the doorstep and it’s just a short walk into town. We couldn’t be happier since moving in.”
The development is located on the edge of Tavistock, a beautiful town in the Devon countryside. It has a wealth of amenities close at hand, such as pubs, restaurants, shops and some well respected schools.
Tiddy Brook Meadows currently a range of two-bedroom apartments from £155,950 and a selection of three and four-bedroom houses, with prices from £198,995 to £335,000. There are currently no ‘Lambourne’ homes available at the site but more are due to be released in the coming weeks.
Perfect for sport enthusiasts, Tavistock provides a wide range of activities that include cricket, golf, tennis and rugby. It is also close to Dartmoor National Park and Morwelham Quay for those with a love of the ‘great outdoors’, as well as being within easy reach of a variety of National Trust homes and attractive nearby villages.
Tiddy Brook Meadows is situated on the Plymouth Road just off the A386 on the south side of Tavistock, making it easily accessible for commuters.
