Two-and-a-half storeys, three bedrooms – one exceptional home

Thu, Mar 2nd 2006, 11:00

Elegant, inspirational and desirable – just three words to describe one show property with a multitude of selling points at Poppyfields in Arborfield, near Wokingham.

For Redrow will open the doors to an impressive two-and-a-half storey Lambourne show home next weekend (March 11/12) that will help house hunters to visualise how elevated living can fit in with their lifestyle.

The show property showcases Redrow’s brand new Signature specification, which will bring changes in a number of areas, most notably kitchens and bathrooms.

The specification will give customers more choices and aims to give them more opportunity to personalise their new home.

Paul Moran, sales director for Redrow Homes (Southern), says: “What a great way to give home buyers a real life experience of living over three floors. Visitors to our show home will be able to walk around the fully-furnished property at their leisure, taking ideas away on how their own Redrow home could look.

“Poppyfields is Redrow’s first development in the area so home buyers have been waiting patiently to catch a glimpse inside our properties – now they have something to view, we expect more homes to fly out. We also recently launched a two-bedroom Canterbury show property, the perfect starter home, to great acclaim.

“Three storey and ‘room-in-the-roof’ or two-and-a-half storey homes like the Lambourne offer lots of space and character and the Lambourne is such a versatile property it will suit the needs of a range of buyers. Townhouses have a fashionable reputation, which appeals to aspirational young professionals as well as holding strong appeal for buyers who want to try flexible living – such as families.”

The Lambourne offers a spacious and carefully planned layout. Downstairs is home to a lounge/dining room which boasts French doors onto the rear garden, as well as the fully fitted kitchen and a cloakroom.

The first floor features bedrooms two and three, both large enough to accommodate double beds, plus the family bathroom.

However it’s in the roof space where home buyers will find this property’s piece de resistance, for this area is home to a luxurious master bedroom complete with fitted wardrobes and an en-suite shower room.

This area offers flexibility to a range of home owners – parents can take over the master suite while their children spread out in the bedrooms beneath, or couples can limit their day to day living to the ground and first floor and utilise the second floor as guest accommodation, the opportunities are endless.

Redrow has chosen the three-bedroom Lambourne as the perfect example of living over three floors and there are several chances for buyers to snap up one for themselves, with current prices starting from £274,500.

Other homes on release at the development include the two-bedroom Amherst apartment, at £186,950, the two-bedroom Canterbury mews, from £199,000, and the four-bedroom, three-storey Ribble townhouse, from £330,500.

Poppyfields is perfectly located in prime commuter country, with Reading only a 20-minute drive away, while Arborfield itself offers a wide range of local services and is only four miles from the market town of Wokingham, where trains to London can take less than an hour. The development borders a wildlife heritage area which provides stunning countryside walks and breath taking views of the Berkshire countryside. Poppyfields also provides excellent access to the M3 and M4.
