Two devoted Beatles fans with a six year-old son called Lennon have got a ticket to ride to Liverpool’s Hard Day’s Night Hotel, after a little bit of help from Redrow Homes.
Liverpool locals, Julie and Andy Tyas, entered a prize draw at Redrow’s Cressington Heath to win one night’s dinner, bed and breakfast at the new Beatles-themed hotel on the edge of the city’s famous Cavern Quarter.
The couple are looking to buy a home at the chart topping South Liverpool development - winner of a top prize at the recent Liverpool Daily Post regional property awards.
Julie and Andy are both such Beatles fanatics they even named their son Lennon after their fab four favourite, John.
Music store manager Andy, 38, says: “My wife and I are both massive fans of The Beatles and couldn’t believe it when we won the prize draw. From when building work started on the Hard Day’s Night Hotel, I have been constantly checking its progress and have even been in the foyer to check it out so to be able to stay there is just fantastic and we’re really excited.”
The couple collected their prize during an afternoon of fun and festivities at Cressington Heath, which included music from 60s band, The Shakers, a children’s entertainer, refreshments, promotional give-aways from the Beatles Story and the chance to get discounted entrance to this ever-popular visitor attraction in the Albert Dock.
Irene Gifford, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Lancashire) says: “We are delighted that two dedicated fans of the Liverpool band won our month-long prize draw.
“It’s a very exciting time for the city at the moment with Liverpool’s European Capital of Culture celebrations in full swing and, after winning our own award for the design and quality of our new homes at Cressington Heath, we wanted to throw a party of our own.”
Properties at Cressington Heath are music to the ears of anyone seeking an eye-catching, quality built new home in a location that offers easy access to the city centre and plenty of local amenities on the doorstep.
Situated off Garston Way, the development will eventually comprise 314 new homes on a 35-acre site. Once complete, it will offer everything from town houses and semi-detached properties to large and luxurious detached homes. Current prices are from £194,995 to £397,995.
