Redrow races to Sky Sports commentator's aid with part exchange deal

Stuck in the pits with the dilemma of finding a house to suit their needs in Gloucestershire whilst struggling to sell their former home elsewhere, one couple found the perfect answer – Redrow’s part exchange scheme.

TV sports commentator Chris Hartley and his wife Susan, a teacher, found themselves side-lined in trying to find a buyer for their house in Tamworth, until they discovered they could effectively ‘swap’ their existing property for a brand new Redrow home at Forest Rise, Nailsworth.

Susan, 33, currently a supply teacher, whilst she looks after her one-year-old son Dylan said: “We hadn’t sold our old home and were running out of time so Redrow’s part exchange programme was perfect.

“When we looked into buying a townhouse at Forest Rise, Redrow offered us the option to ‘trade in’ our existing property and it was full steam ahead from there.

“We were looking to move to accommodate my husband’s job as a sports commentator and the process was made quite effortless as we didn’t have to worry about finding a buyer for our previous home or the complications of being in a chain.”

The couple opted to move up the ladder to a four-bedroom ‘Neale’ townhouse, which has its accommodation arranged over three floors. The property boasts a spacious kitchen / diner and living area on the ground floor; a lounge and master bedroom with en-suite on the first floor; and three further bedrooms above, offering home buyers a plethora of living options.
Whilst perfect for a young family like Chris, Susan and baby Dylan, the Neale house type is equally appropriate for friends sharing, couples and others looking to work their way up the property ladder – all of whom will find something of appeal in this flexible house type.

Sandra Hughes, sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West) said: “We’re delighted everything went so smoothly for Susan and Chris and it says a lot about the great advantages of this development that the couple have chosen to start family life here.

“Part-exchange is just one of the ways we can help make moving as easy as possible from the moment of first enquiry right through until after the customer has moved in.”

The thriving Cotswold community of Nailsworth, often referred to as “the heart of the country”, has plenty to offer with an array of flourishing pubs and restaurants and surrounded by beautiful countryside, it is sure to meet any home owner’s aspirations.

It also has excellent transport links, with the M5 motorway only approximately 15 minutes away.

Current prices and availability at Forest Rise are from £218,000 for a three-bedroom mid-terrace with en-suite and a detached garage and from £219,995 for a four-bedroom Neale.

Part exchange is just one of the measures under the umbrella of ‘re:assure from Redrow’; other ways Redrow may be able to help include money towards the monthly mortgage repayments for up to two years, carpets throughout the home or stamp duty and legal fees paid.,

Part-exchange is available on selected plots at Forest Rise. To find out more visit the sales office, open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm,  call the Redrow sales consultants on 01453 855992 or visit www.redrow.co.uk/developments/view/111.
