Let Redrow help you onto the first rung of the property ladder

Wed, Jun 4th 2008, 15:30

Taking the first step onto the property ladder can be a daunting experience but help is at hand for first-time buyers in Braehead.

Redrow Homes (Scotland) is offering a number of incentives for those starting out at its popular Riverside Point development.

The measures, which are being offered under the umbrella of  ‘re:assure from Redrow’, are all designed to give home buyers confidence and to help get them moving in the current housing market.

Diana Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (Scotland) says: “A lot of developers are throwing deals at potential customers as soon as they walk through the door without encouraging them to think about what they really want. We are taking a different approach and saying to our customers ‘find the home that ticks all your boxes, suits your lifestyle and makes you go “wow”, then talk to us about how you can  achieve it - and still feel safe and confident about your move’.”

Prospective buyers at Riverside Point can choose from a number of options when buying their new Redrow home, including mortgage subsidies of up to £500 per calendar month for up to two years to help ease the financial burden, five percent deposit paid on selected apartments - ideal for first time buyers who don’t have a lump sum at their disposal - and furniture packages, which will allow people to simply drop their bags and settle into their new home.

Riverside Point has something to suit all tastes and will eventually comprise two-bedroom apartments, two and three-bedroom terraced and semi-detached homes, three and four-bedroom townhouses and four-bedroom detached homes.

The homes will share the footprint of Redrow’s existing design portfolio, but their contemporary exteriors will be quite different from the developer’s previous homes in Scotland and the grounds have been carefully designed by landscape architects with avenues of trees and shrubbed areas.

A range of two-bedroom apartments, ideal for first-time buyers, are available from £148,995, while three-bedroom apartments are on offer from £178,995. House prices start at £210,000 for a three-bedroom Lambourne, which has its roof space cleverly converted to create a sumptuous master bedroom while four-bedroom houses are available from £234,995.

Diana added: “Riverside Point is ideally located for those who want to have everything close to home. It is just a short distance outside of Glasgow City Centre, and near to the M8 which offers excellent commuter routes around the central belt and to Glasgow international airport.”

The area has fantastic local amenities - not least the Braehead shopping and leisure centre and Xscape family entertainments complex which are a stone’s throw away from Riverside Point.

The River Clyde is just a short stroll away and families will be attracted by the availability of several nurseries and primary schools in the area, whilst Renfrew High School is within walking distance.

A show apartment and show home are now open at the development on Kings Inch Road along with the fabulous marketing suite, where prospective buyers can view the 3D model and computer generated fly-through which bring Riverside Point to life.
