It's full steam ahead for homebuyers in Ebbw Vale who want to take advantage of a new direct rail service to Cardiff while still being close to the beautiful South Wales countryside.
Redrow’s Cae Ffwrnais development, off Steelworks Road, has the perfect balance of being close to the town centre as well as being in the midst of the scenic South Wales valleys.
The new homes are also just a stone’s throw from the recently-opened rail line, which provides the first passenger rail link between Ebbw Vale and Cardiff for 46 years. It means the development is ideal for people commuting to Cardiff and other locations across South Wales. The town, which is steeped in history, is also undergoing massive regeneration with plans afoot for a new general hospital.
Luly Brice, area sales manager for Redrow Home (South Wales), said: “The railway opening marked a major milestone in the rejuvenation of Ebbw Vale and has transformed the area into a prime location for people working in Cardiff.
“Ebbw Vale is a town with a rich past but has now set its sights on a vibrant future. We have become part of that regeneration process with our Cae Ffwrnais development, where we have new homes to suit a wide variety of buyers.”
Currently available at Cae Ffwrnais are one-bedroom ‘coachhouse’ apartments, one and two-bedroom Avon style apartments, and three-bedroom ‘Hardwick’ and ‘Lambourne’ homes.
The layout of the Lambourne is perfect for a wide range of homebuyers; from friends sharing, to couples and families as well as downsizers looking for an affordable property that doesn’t compromise on space. With its master bedroom and en-suite in the cleverly converted roof space and two further bedrooms and a main bathroom on the first floor, the Lambourne offers plenty of living space options. Rooms not needed as bedrooms can double as home office space, a games room or maybe a gym.
The Hardwick is a semi-detached home more traditionally laid out over two floors. It has a detached garage, separate dining room and an en-suite to the master bedroom and plenty of living and storage space for growing families.
Redrow is currently offering a range of fantastic incentives to help potential buyers take their first or next step on the property ladder including the opportunity to purchase selected properties at Cae Ffwrnais for an initial outlay up to 25% less than the usual price – with buyers still owning 100 per cent of their new home.
Using Redrow ‘easi-buy’, a three-bedroom home at Cae Ffwrnais that would normally cost £173,995 can currently be snapped up for just £130,496 – that’s 75% of the full price - with the balance not having to be paid for 10 years and no rent to pay on the deferred element.
And if buyers find themselves able to settle the 25% deferred payment within the first three years they could potentially save thousands on the overall price.
Redrow’s new offer is subject to terms and conditions. The deferred element is paid back at market value at the time of payment, which could go down as well as up.
Redrow ‘easi-buy’ is the latest in a number of incentives offered by Redrow under the badge of ‘re:assure’, all of them designed to make moving as easy as possible from the moment of first enquiry right through until after the customer has moved in. Other incentives include help with mortgage repayments for up to two years, or help with a deposit and other moving costs.
Current prices at Cae Ffwrnais are from £101,995 for a one-bedroom apartment and from £130,995 for a two-bedroom apartment. Hardwick homes are priced from £169,995 and Lambournes from £173,995.
