Great deals to be done on new Redrow homes - including stamping out the cost of your stamp duty!

Wed, Aug 27th 2008, 11:15

Forget waiting for the chancellor to make up his mind – Redrow will knock the cost of your stamp duty off the price of your new home throughout September - making now a great time to buy.

With the award-winning housebuilder offering this and a range of other fabulous incentives, Redrow’s sales director Debby Pavitt believes buyers in South Wales are in an excellent position to secure a superb deal.

She said: “While many have been waiting on news from Downing Street regarding stamp duty, we can actually give buyers a cash allowance to cover this amount.

“It’s just one of the ways we can help people to move and we have a range of other incentives in our ‘re: assure’ package that can be tailor-made to each  customer’s individual needs. We may be able to help out with their deposit, legal fees and other moving costs. Or perhaps we could take their existing home in part-exchange or even subsidise their mortgage payments for the first year or two.

“The housing market has always hinged on supply and demand, and we now find ourselves in a buyer’s market. It is a great time to buy, simply because there are fewer purchasers in the market, meaning there are some tempting offers available on new build homes. There have always been peaks and troughs in the market but most experts still agree that property is an excellent long-term investment.

“Despite people’s fears that they won’t be able to get a mortgage, the financial advisers we work with regularly tell us that there are still many mortgage products available and some lenders have also started to reduce their rates to make buying that dream home more affordable.

“We have also introduced our ‘easi-buy’ scheme on selected plots on many of our developments in South Wales, which can enable you to own 100% of your new home while deferring up to 25% cost  for 10 years – a great incentive for first time buyers who need a helping hand on to the property ladder.”

Redrow’s developments across South Wales offer something for everyone from apartments to family housing and luxury detached homes.
