Busy start expected for new South Liverpool homes

Over a thousand people have registered their interest in a new housing development that’s set to launch in South Liverpool next weekend (February 18/19).
Cressington Heath will eventually comprise 314 new homes by award winning developer Redrow, on a 35-acre site formally owned by Associated British Ports (ABP) between Aigburth and Garston.
The first sales release will include a combination of three-bedroom mews, four-bedroom three-storey town houses and four-bedroom detached homes with double garages, with initial prices from £188,995 to £348,995. Later phases will include smaller properties, including some apartments.
Christine Aitken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), says: “We’ve been inundated with enquiries proving the demand for new homes in this area. The location is ideal, less than five miles out of the city centre, accessible by public transport and within easy reach of Liverpool John Lennon Airport and the New Mersey Shopping Park.”
Redrow is opening a new marketing suite at the development, where plans and illustrations can be viewed, together with examples of the kitchen and bathroom finishes offered from its new Signature specification.
Christine adds: “Customers will have a choice of eight different kitchen finishes and worktops within the price of their chosen home or they have an extra option to upgrade to our ‘prestige’ kitchen, the Turin Café Latte design.”
This top-of-the-range kitchen comprises dual-coloured, high-gloss contemporary styled linear framed units, modern steel handles, walnut worktops and fully integrated fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and 700mm hob unit with four burners plus a central wok burner. Large straw-coloured ceramic floor tiles and ceiling fitted downlighters complete the look for the Turin Café Latte kitchen.
Once complete, Cressington Heath will offer everything from one and two-bedroom apartments, through town houses and semi-detached properties to large and luxurious detached homes.
Christine continues: “There really is something for everyone, including professionals working in the city centre and looking for a relatively short commute to work, plus families, couples and empty-nesters.”
There has been a strong emphasis towards design and layout for the scheme, which will includes nautically-inspired features on some properties to fit in with the local vernacular and proximity to the Mersey, while a third of the total acreage is an official nature conservation area. Redrow is also contributing financially to local public transport, specifically towards the provision of a new local bus service.
Potential home owners can visit the new marketing suite at St Mary’s Road, off Garston Way, from Saturday, February 18th. For further details call 0845 676 0510.
