A detached home is still the most desirable

Tue, Jan 31st 2006, 11:00

The detached home may be turning into somewhat of a rare species, but it’s still a much loved house type. The good news for Daventry home buyers is they could stumble on a rare find if they visit Redrow’s Royal Park venture.

For the house builder has just released a new phase of homes, many of which are the sought-after detached variety.

Among the designs is the four-bedroom Ouse which is an exceptionally popular house type with home buyers searching for a family friendly home to lay down roots.

Suzanne Irons, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), says: “We are pleased to announce the release of a whole new phase of homes at Royal Park – featuring a large number of detached homes which have been long-awaited by would-be purchasers on our existing database.

“According to the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) the detached house is England's favourite property type, but because of Government guidelines on housing density very few brand new detached homes can now be built - which makes these very special properties indeed.

“As well as the Ouse there’s also an excellent selection of other detached properties to choose from, including the Tamar, Ribble and the impressive two-and-a-half storey Walkham, all with four bedrooms.”

The Ouse is an impressive home, with a layout that comprises an expansive lounge that stretches the length of the house, a kitchen/dining room, utility and ground floor cloaks. Upstairs features the master bedroom with fitted wardrobes and en-suite shower room, plus the second double bedroom and the family bathroom. The roof space has two further bedrooms – perfect for getting away from it all.

Prices for the detached Ouse start at £229,995.

Not to be outdone, apartment lovers can also reserve from the brand new phase of apartments set to be released in February.

Only one apartment remains for sale from a previous phase, priced at £124,995, including fitted carpets. Apartments are perfect for people sharing, as the master bedroom has an en-suite and the second bedroom can ‘own’ the main bathroom.

Royal Park is situated to the northern side of Daventry town centre, conveniently located between a network of main roads and the M1 and M6 motorways. The unspoilt countryside of Northamptonshire is close by with Daventry Country Park and the attractive walkways of the Grand Union Canal all within easy reach.

With its excellent leisure and recreational facilities, local education and ease of access, Royal Park is the perfect place to live. The development is drawing home buyers from the likes of Banbury, Leamington and Coventry thanks to more affordable prices in Daventry.

To get attached to a detached home at Royal Park, visit the development off Braunston Road, which is open daily from 10.30am to 5pm, or call the Redrow sales consultant on 01327 311353.
