Family tries home for size

What better way to see if a new home fits your lifestyle than to actually live in it before making the decision to buy?
That’s what one family did at Redrow’s Cottage Farm new homes development in Bridlington, East Yorkshire.
Sales executive Heather MacMillan, her partner Jamie Colman and their baby Max moved in to Redrow’s Kennet show home at the development for an overnight stay to see if the home was the perfect fit for their lifestyle.
The couple are currently thinking of making the move to a larger home that better suits their needs and couldn’t wait to try out the show home for size.
Heather, 29, who works for Minster FM, says: “We already live in Bridlington, but we’re thinking of moving to larger home and the chance to test drive the Kennett show home was a great opportunity. It’s a lovely detached house, the interior flows really well, and we really liked the size of it. It’s very spacious.
“The garden was lovely and we all enjoyed a great stay over, just relaxing, watching DVDs – things we’d do if we were at home.”
The couple currently have two properties to sell before they can look at buying a new home together, but after their test drive, they’re now determined to move home and would definitely consider a Redrow property.
Sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), Julie Rayner, comments: “We were more than happy to accommodate Heather, Jamie and Max and delighted that they enjoyed their stay. The chance to stay over in a show home is great for home buyers who haven’t yet made up their mind about which home to choose.”
Redrow’s Cottage Farm development has gone from strength to strength since its launch, providing all kinds of home buyers with a brand new home just a short drive from Bridlington’s sandy beaches. The development boasts glimpses of the North Sea and is a ten minute drive from the North Beach.
Redrow is providing a range of conventional two-storey homes, from two-bedroom mews properties through to four-bedroom detached homes and everything in between.
Homes on release include the two-bedroom Canterbury, at £115,995, the three-bedroom semi-detached Ennerdale, from £137,995 and the three-bedroom Wessex bungalow, from £159,995.
Home buyers can view the Kennet show home at Cottage Farm, West Crayke, and the Malham show home at Eastfields, on Brett Street, seven days a week, from 10am to 5.30pm and can discuss the option of ‘try before you buy’ with the Redrow sales consultant on 01262 670572.
