Investing in her work

Redrow’s area sales manager Barbara Wright is so impressed with the homes she is selling she has once again decided to invest in one – this time in Wrexham.
Barbara, who has worked at Redrow Homes (North West) for 12 years, has already purchased two homes as an investment and has just completed on her third Redrow property.
Barbara says: "I’ve seen numerous Redrow developments grow into warm communities, so I’m confident my investments will pay off. I believe in the homes that we build and they are perfect as an investment.
"Investing in property is something that I have always planned to do. It seems like a safe option if you are looking ahead to bolster your pension. Like bonds, property matures over time and in my opinion the homes at Redrow are suitable for people looking for either a short term or a long term investment option.
"It really is a case of buy now to earn later. I’ve generally had no trouble renting my properties out or with the actual tenants so from my own personal experience I would recommend investing in a property."
Barbara already owns properties at Stonemead in Stalybridge, near Manchester, and at Melbrick Court in Allerton, Liverpool. Her third and most recent property purchase is at Pentre Bach in Wrexham.
"Pentre Bach is in a perfect location with good commuter links. It will be a wonderful place to live when it’s completed and because of the nearby hospital offers great rental potential with young nurses or doctors," continues Barbara.
The property is a two-bedroom Eden, which has the rare luxury of having an en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom – not common in smaller houses.
The Eden boasts a spacious living room, desirable open-plan kitchen/diner and cloakroom. The terrace home also has a single garage and a sizable south facing garden.
"The Eden is perfect for two young people looking to share, especially with a bathroom each – there’ll never be a queue for the bathroom in the morning!
"The development is relatively new and with the first completions already happening and the amount of interest we have received, it looks like Pentre Bach will become a lovely place to live for families and young professionals alike," continues Barbara.
Pentre Bach is a development of two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom properties. Currently available are a range of three and four-bedroom homes. Prices start at £160,000 for a three-bedroom terrace and go up to £285,000 for a four-bedroom detached.
Barbara continues: "In September we aim to launch Pentre Bach’s show homes. Buyers will be able to look around three show homes; the three-bedroom Kennet, the Hayward, which also has three bedrooms and the four-bedroom Ribble.
"I’m excited about the launch as it’s the perfect opportunity for home buyers to get a feel of what it is like living in a Redrow home. We will also have a hot-air balloon at the launch for visitors to enjoy tethered flights and views over the development", adds Barbara.
Pentre Bach is located just off Ruthin Road, near Wrexham town centre. The development is within ideal commuting distance of Wrexham, Chester and Oswestry. The A55 North Wales coast road is approximately seven miles away.
Pentre Bach benefits from the amenities a major town has to offer and at the same time enjoys the advantages of being situated close to glorious countryside.
