Visitors to the official launch of a new three-storey show home at Dickens Heath, near Solihull, were treated to an appropriately ‘larger than life’ evening.
With an extra storey, the handsome four-bedroom townhouse is a lot bigger than most people are used to. It’s also set in the impressive Dickens Heath new village - a project on a bigger scale than the average housing development.
So Redrow thought it appropriate to hold a ‘larger than life’ event to celebrate the official opening of this high flying new home, which demonstrates the town houses now on release at The Edge, Redrow’s ‘edge of the village centre’ development in Dickens Heath.
Julia Pallister, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands) said: "Our new show home at The Edge has been given the ultimate VIP treatment – it looks fabulous and so we thought it only fitting to hold an event to reflect its glamour and style.
"We had lots of visitors on the opening night, who were chauffeured from our marketing suite to the show home in a luxurious stretch limo. Appointments with the sales consultants were fully booked throughout the event by home buyers eager to find out more about the properties available.
"We know how important it is to potential buyers to be able to actually see inside an example of a home they wish to buy. In fact, more than half of the visitors to the Redrow website said that visiting a show home is the most effective marketing tool when buying a new home. After selling two townhouses in just one evening, we’d agree with that!"
Birmingham-based Connections in Design have created the glamorous show home look for Redrow, and the result displays the ultimate in versatile townhouse living.
Julia continues: "Connections in Design have succeeded in creating a really big impact, with accent walls in a rich turquoise contrasting with earthy brown colours throughout. The spacious lounge has floor to ceiling glass windows looking out onto the rear garden, allowing light to flow in and creating another dimension of space. It is also large enough to accommodate the dining area. There is also a stylish kitchen and cloakroom on the ground floor.
"Upstairs, visitors would be forgiven for thinking this was merely a spacious two-storey home, as the second bedroom is of master suite proportions. A beautifully finished family bathroom, the third and fourth bedrooms, one of which has been kitted out as a home gym, completes the first floor layout.
"However the top floor, hidden from view from the pavement, is home to this property’s pièce de résistance. The ultimate master suite, featuring a dressing area, deluxe en-suite shower room and fabulous roof terrace offering elevated views of the village, sits proudly at the top of this house."
A grand four poster oak framed bed is the centre of attention in this room, and the theme of turquoises and browns has been carried through.
The location of The Edge provides as much to celebrate as the desirable properties themselves, with great access to amenities and entertainment both in the new village centre within Dickens Heath, which includes a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants, and in nearby Solihull. Current availability at The Edge includes a range of one-bedroom apartments, perfect for empty nesters or first time buyers, priced from just £149,950, or the luxurious three-storey townhouses, like the show home, that offer a versatile approach to contemporary living, priced from £279,950.
To find out more about what The Edge has to offer, visit the Redrow marketing suite, open weekdays from 12pm to 5.30pm, and from 10am at weekends. Viewings of the new show home are by appointment only. Call the Redrow sales consultants on 0121 733 3921 for further details.
