Spread out in Sittingbourne

Tue, Jul 4th 2006, 11:00

Call off the search for space in Sittingbourne as Redrow has three-storey properties for home buyers who want to spread out in style.

Now in its final phase, Kingfishers has proven popular with house hunters and in the final release of homes, spacious three-storey houses are available at the popular Kent development.

Caron Hutchins, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Eastern), says: “The huge success of the Kingfishers development is the result of the high standard and quality of the product. Redrow takes great care in ensuring that buyers receive the best we can give and they’re not disappointed.

“We have been building in Sittingbourne for several years, firstly with our Sonora Fields venture which featured over 300 new homes and then with Kingfishers which is adding a further 200-plus homes.

“We’ve now launched the final phase of Kingfishers and there are only 16 properties left to reserve, so buyers seeking three-storey living in a sought-after location should act now, before they miss out on this great opportunity.”

Three-storey living is experiencing a renaissance in the property world right now. The flexible layout provides extra living space and gives character to the houses.

Among the Redrow designs available at Kingfishers is the Neale property. This spacious four-bedroom, three-storey house has a multitude of possibilities.

It comprises a kitchen/breakfast area and dining room on the ground floor, providing a homely feel from the minute would-be-buyers step through the door. The dining room easily lends itself to alternative uses such a home office, play room, gym or even a ground-floor bedroom.

There’s the master suite on the first floor which features an adjoining en-suite shower room and a spacious living room is also located on this level, enjoying increased privacy thanks to its elevated position towards the rear of the property.

Three bedrooms and the family bathroom fitted with a classic white suite are located upstairs.

Caron adds: “The Neale is a particularly popular house design. The second floor is especially useful as this area offers flexibility to a range of home owners – parents can take over the master suite while their children spread out in the bedrooms above, or couples can limit their day to day living to the ground and first floor and utilise the second floor as guest accommodation - the opportunities are endless.”

The Neale is a classic three storey townhouse and comes with a £190,000 price tag.

Other homes on release at the development include the three-storey Teign which is priced from £226,000 and the traditional two-storey Fairwood, which is £171,000.

Sittingbourne is lively market town, with easy commuter links to the M25 to London and the South East coast. Sittingbourne railway station is 1.5 miles from the development and London Victoria is an hour away. Gatwick, Stansted and Heathrow airports can be reached via the M20/M25.

The end of Kingfishers won’t, however, be the final chapter for Redrow in Sittingbourne as the company has recently secured planning permission for 100 properties from its award winning Debut range. These highly affordable homes are targeted at first time buyers and offer a mix of one and two-storey dwellings. Redrow is hoping to launch the development this summer.
