Building team spirit
Tue, Oct 31st 2006, 11:00
Site manager of the year Ian Winsor has built up team spirit as well as homes for Redrow.
With a work ethic like Ian’s, it is no wonder he is winning awards. The site manager for Redrow’s Porterhouse development in Crawley believes good homes start with a strong work force.
Ian explains: "I oversee a great team here at Porterhouse. We all work together to make homes of the highest quality and the award is down to the hard work we put in. This is the first award I have won and I am very honoured to have been named Redrow’s site manager of the year."
Ian, who is originally from Southampton, has been driven by ambition and was promoted to site manager after two years. Porterhouse is not the first Redrow development he has managed, however.
Ian says: "I’ve worked for Redrow for eight years and in that time I have overseen various sites. Porterhouse is different from developments I have worked at previously due to the construction method. It is somewhat special as this is the first large concrete frame with underground car park structure to be directly built by Redrow's Southern regional company."
Stuart Rowlands, managing director for Redrow Homes (Southern), says: "We are very proud of Ian. He has worked hard and is putting in every effort to ensure that Porterhouse is a real success story. To win the site manager of the year award is a huge achievement and he has won the accolade not only for his building skills, but also his initiative, commitment and hard work."
Porterhouse is shaping up to be one of Crawley’s most exciting apartment complexes. Redrow’s flagship development consists of 124 modern apartments encased in four individual buildings which feature a striking white and terracotta exterior and creative brickwork design.
The development boasts an electronically gated entrance that leads to secure surface and underground parking. All apartments feature either a terrace or balcony and there are also a select number of duplex apartments boasting accommodation over two floors and fabulous roof terraces.
Porterhouse is perfectly located for commuters as Crawley is positioned between Brighton and London. With the capital just a 40 minute journey from Three Bridges train station, Porterhouse offers the perfect opportunity to get away from the urban rush at the end of the working day.
Gatwick Airport is less than ten minutes away by train and the M23 and M25 motorways are both easily accessible.
Redrow’s Porterhouse apartments have been performing consistently well since the scheme sprang onto the property scene in 2005. Prices are currently from £189,000 for a one-bedroom apartment and two-bedroom apartments start from £199,950 – all come with car parking space.
To find out more about Porterhouse, visit the marketing suite located at the development in Station Hill, Three Bridges between 10am and 5.30pm or to view the new show apartment, call the Redrow sales consultant on 01293 532165.
