A Redrow home is the perfect investment for the future according to a South Wales property investor, and he should know, having bought more than 30 of them.
Estate agent and property investor, Richard Tuck buys homes across South Wales and most of them are built by Redrow.
Richard, who lives in Newport with his wife and daughter, first started in the house building industry as a trainee at an estate agency after he left university. He now owns the Newport based Richard Tuck estate agency, buying homes to let and referring private buyers to properties.
Richard said: “Of the houses I buy to let to tenants, 80% are brand new and bought off-plan. Of these, 85% are Redrow homes. This is mainly because I have had good experience with Redrow and I trust that they will do their side of the deal quickly and professionally.
“Also, I have a good relationship with the company, and I buy a lot of Redrow homes for my clients. I secure a good deal on the property, Redrow’s sales consultants are happy because they have made a sale, and my client is happy because they have a good deal on a home without having to put in effort negotiating – everybody wins!
“I buy so many Redrow homes because they are built to such a high standard. I have found that the choice of specification is higher quality than many other builders, and they build an extensive range of house types and all of them look good.
“I always find it easy to secure good calibre tenants who want to rent a Redrow home.”
He added: “The real reason for buying these homes, though, is because they are a great investment for the future.”
The Redrow homes Richard has bought are at developments across South Wales, including Cwm Calon in Ystrad Mynach, near Caerphilly, Cwrt Penrhiwthen in Neath, Three Oaks in Aberdare, developments in Bridgend and apartments at the Celestia development in Cardiff Bay.
Among his latest purchases are three coach houses that he snapped up at Cwm Calon – of which only ten were ever built at the site – and a selection of one and two-bedroom apartments.
Currently available at Cwm Calon is a selection of three and four-bedroom homes and townhouses, starting at just £155,950 for a three-bedroom Fairwood housetype and £174,950 for a four-bedroom Neale housetype. More apartments are due to be released in the new phase at Cwm Calon, coming in January.
