Dig deep for charity
Wed, Nov 22nd 2006, 11:00
If you’ve got green fingers, a generous nature, and don’t mind getting your hands dirty - then get down to Sewerby, on Saturday 25th November for a plant sale with a difference.
Anyone who visits Redrow’s Cottage Farm new homes development will need some wellies, a spade, and a few plant pots too – because would-be gardeners will have to dig up the plants themselves!
With just one home remaining for sale at Redrow’s Cottage Farm development, off Marton Road in Sewerby, Bridlington, the marketing suite has done its job.
But before it’s moved off site, the varied selection of established plants and shrubs in the landscaped garden outside it need to find new homes of their own.
So Redrow’s sales consultants at Cottage Farm have decided to hold a charity plant sale, with all the money raised going to the Bridlington Ladies Lifeboat Guild.
Julie Rayner, sales director for Redrow (Yorkshire) says: “Now that the homes at Cottage Farm have all but sold out, we have lots of plants on our hands that need good homes. But rather than give them away, we thought this would be the ideal opportunity to make some money for charity.
“We always try to support local causes, and so the chance to help the Bridlington Lifeboat Guild in this way was fantastic. What’s more, we’re sure that families with children will have great fun digging out what they want to take home.”
The lovely Lifeboat ladies will be on site from 11am until 2pm to take donations and supply hot drinks to keep people going.
And if you’re interested in living at Cottage Farm then you need to visit the development sooner than later, as there is only one two-bedroom Hickory bungalow left for sale, and it’s bound to be snapped up quickly. It’s priced from £150,995.
Everyone is welcome this Saturday (25th ), so come down and dig deep for charity at Redrow’s Cottage Farm development. And for more information, call Cottage Farm on 01262 670572.
