Key research and development coming to Matrix Park

Tue, Nov 28th 2006, 11:00

Matrix Park will play host to a niche company that plays a big part in research and development to help the environment.

NSG Environmental is to re-locate its Leyland base to the third phase of industrial space on Matrix Park and the move is planned for June 2007.

Richard Penrose, managing director for NSG said: “The Matrix location is ideal for us, as we are currently based just two miles away in Leyland and our parent company, NIS Holdings is based in Chorley.

“We were looking to improve our facilities so that we can expand our operation and provide an improved service, but staying in the same area was also a priority for us, as we have a professional and skilled workforce in the local area.

“We are moving around 40 staff to Matrix Park, but this is expected to increase to 60 over the next few years.

“We are looking forward to the move, as the new facility will provide a step change in the way we are perceived and I think it will increase our visibility tremendously.”

Tony Dyer, Commercial Development Manager for Redrow’s Northern Region said: “We are delighted that NSG will be coming to Matrix Park to carry out their research and development work.

“The latest industrial phase is now well underway with completion expected in June 2007 with space available for purchase or lease in sizes from 3,500 sq. ft. to 15,000 sq ft. Other plots are available for buildings up to 60,000 sq ft, and we have already had a lot of interest from potential occupiers.”
