Redrow in Doncaster

Wed, Dec 6th 2006, 11:00

Award-winning Redrow Homes is bringing its portfolio of new homes to Doncaster.

Danum St Giles is an impressive venture of more than 160 brand new homes located on Amersall Road in Scawthorpe - and when Redrow held a preview event at the Sun Inn, in Scawthorpe last week, more than 100 potential home buyers came along to view plans, see house layouts and speak to Redrow’s team to find out more.

Janine Bellamy, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire) says: “The launch night was a great success and we welcomed a huge number of home hunters to have a look at the site plans and working drawings of individual homes. It also gave customers a chance to chat about the development with our sales consultants over a glass of wine.

“We’ve already had over 30 enquiries from buyers interested in Danum St Giles, even though the marketing suite on-site won’t open until early next year, and we expect that number to rise even further – it’s obvious that this is going to be a popular development.”

Redrow’s new development will cover some 11 acres and will eventually comprise 165 new homes. There will be something for everyone in the selection of properties on the venture - from one and two bedroom apartments which would suit young couples and professionals, to townhouses and three-storey mews homes, right through to top-of-the-range four-bedroom detached executive properties.

The development is situated just three miles north west of Doncaster city centre, with its wealth of bars, restaurants and shops. Bentley railway station is under half a mile away, and regular services run to Doncaster (5 mins), Leeds (45 mins) and Sheffield (45 mins) – making it ideally located for commuters. Both the A1 and M18 motorways are also nearby.

The Doncaster/Sheffield Robin Hood airport is under 30 minutes away and offers commercial flights to all the usual holiday locations such as Spain, Italy and the Caribbean. The local area has plenty of supermarkets, including an Asda and Tesco, and several large high schools. Doncaster also has ‘Fair Trade Town’ status, which is also granted to towns that are committed to promoting fair trade goods.

The marketing suite is expected to be on-site by February 2007, but for more information in the meantime, please call Redrow Yorkshire on 0845 676 0450 or register your interest by emailing Yorkshire.sales@redrow.co.uk.
