Job designed for life

Katrina Shore, Redrow’s newly-appointed area sales manager, likes interior design and having refurbished several properties in Devon it’s only fitting that she has a job working in the housing industry.
 
When an area sales manager’s position became available at Redrow’s South West operation based in Bristol, there was no doubt that Katrina Shore was the woman for the job.

With years of experience in the new homes industry Katrina is relishing her new role with the award-winning house builder.

Katrina has worked in the property industry for many years, with companies including Prowting, Westbury and Kings Oak.

She says: “I’ve learned a lot about the new homes industry in that time and progressed with my career accordingly, first becoming an area sales manager in 2004.

“I’m especially looking forward to my new position with Redrow as I feel they are not afraid to take on projects involving refurbishments as well as the usual new build. A great example of this is Knightstone Island, in Weston-super-Mare, which is a very exciting development and by far the most unique project I’ve ever worked on,” continues Katrina.
          
Knightstone Island is a special venture that will comprise 87 properties in total, including conversion of three Grade II listed buildings – the Pavilion Theatre, Edwardian Swimming Baths and Dr Fox’s Bath House – into apartments, duplexes and penthouses. These will be complemented by two contemporary new apartment buildings and Redrow’s scheme also includes commercial space for café/restaurant use, as well as improved landscaping, street furniture and public art.
         
Lorraine Kendrick, sales director for Redrow Homes (South West) says: “Katrina has a wealth of experience. Her knowledge and dedication to the job is first class as are her organisational skills and people-management.  She is an asset to the sales team at Redrow.”

Katrina, who lives in Weston-super-Mare, loves the county of Devon and regularly visits at weekends. She is a keen interior designer after undertaking a course in the subject and refurbishing several properties.

“I’m a very active person so I need a job that keeps me busy so that I don’t get bored.  I am really happy at Redrow and my main aim is to keep delivering a high standard of customer service. There is nothing more satisfying than handing over the keys to a brand new house to happy customers,” Katrina adds.

Redrow Homes (South West) is a subsidiary of the award-winning Redrow plc, which builds around 5,000 new homes each year. The Bristol-based division is currently building in Weston-super-Mare, Swindon, Gloucester, Nailsworth, Chippenham, Westbury and Trowbridge.
