New sales coordinator can’t keep away

When Tina Westlake started her career at Redrow in 1998, she had no idea that she would keep being drawn back to the company for the next eight years!

Newly promoted to sales coordinator for the Bristol-based South West operation, Tina first joined Redrow in 1998 as an office junior, and has steadily worked her way up since.

She says: “I started work at Redrow after school, and despite short spells elsewhere have returned to the company three times since then – I just can’t stay away! I started as a junior, and then moved to the legal department, before starting as a sales administrator and now becoming sales coordinator.

“My new role involves dealing with the on-site set-ups, taking care of things like marketing suites, sales literature, computers and phone lines for all of our South West developments, as well as managing the advertising schedules for the company. I basically make sure everything in the sales department is ticking over smoothly and act as a key point of contact for our sales consultants out on site.”

Lorraine Kendrick, sales director for Redrow Homes (South West) says: “When the vacancy for sales coordinator became available, we didn’t have to think twice about promoting Tina. She is an extremely capable employee and I’m sure she has a bright future within the company.”

Tina adds: “I’m really enjoying the new responsibilities and challenges I now have. I love being able to get out on site and see how things work and I’m learning so much in my new role.”

Tina, 25, who lives in Charfield, finds time outside work to spend time with her friends and family, especially her two nieces.

And although she’s busy with her new job now, she still has her eye on the future, saying: “Every day is different and I’d love to move up through the company, although I’m not sure which direction I want to take just yet. But with my varied career at Redrow to date, I’m sure to enjoy whatever the company has in store for me next!”
