The longing to be detached grows!

Tue, Jan 16th 2007, 11:00

Detached living might be on the decline, but the desire to live in such properties is on the up in Chorley.

That’s the finding of Redrow Homes, the house builder responsible for Hallwood Gardens, where interest in the select number of detached properties is particularly growing.

Brand new detached properties have always been an aspiration for many people but with fewer being constructed under current planning guidelines, it can sometimes leave potential buyers disappointed.

Christine Aitken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire) says: “It’s true that detached properties are on the wane, as government guidelines require that house builders create more three-storey and linked properties to make the most of space available..

“However, we have seen no let up in the amount of enquiries we have for a true detached new home and so it’s good news that we have a small number of them on release at Hallwood Gardens, in Chorley.”

There are currently just four detached properties left to choose from, and each features four bedrooms, a garage and gardens.

Christine adds: “These properties are so desirable and are located within such a beautiful area that it comes as no surprise that there are only a limited number of them left.”

Hallwood Gardens is located off Butterworth Brow within Gillibrands Park, in the midst of rich woodlands and close to the Grade II listed Gillibrands Hall - the perfect setting for those who want to live the detached dream. The beautiful backdrop of superb landscaped gardens and the woodland provide a sense of seclusion and intimacy.

Chorley town centre is approximately one mile away, placing everything that’s needed within easy reach, from high street stores to local schools and doctors.

Redrow can even help customers to sell their existing property quickly and easily with Mastermove, a service whereby Redrow manages the whole sale process and also pays the estate agent's fees at the end of the day.

The detached homes at Hallwood Gardens come in the Parett, Otter and Roadford designs and are priced from   £247,997.

There are also some one and two-bedroom apartments currently available, with prices from just £116,995.
