Buyers of Redrow Homes in South Wales can rest assured that they are in good hands, thanks to an award winning customer services co-ordinator.
Petra Foley has won the coveted ‘employee of the year’ award for Redrow Homes (South Wales).
As customer services co-ordinator, it is Petra’s responsibility to deal with any customer issues post-completion, by working either with colleagues from Redrow or the appropriate contractor.
Before starting at Redrow, Petra, 41, worked as legal secretary at a solicitors’ firm in Cardiff and before that, she worked at a letting agency.
Petra lives with her son in Pentwyn in Cardiff and has worked in customer services at Redrow for two-and-a-half years. She said: “I was delighted when I heard that I had won. I think the main reason is that we have been short staffed and I have been co-ordinating the department on my own for most of the year.
“I am delighted and very flattered that my hard work has been recognised in this way and the fact that it was my colleagues who voted for me makes it all the more special.”
“My job can be very enjoyable, as I get to work with many different types of people and I get a lot of job satisfaction because I feel that I am really helping people to enjoy their new homes.”
David Smith, managing director for Cardiff-based Redrow Homes (South Wales), said: “Customer services co-ordinator is a demanding job, as it requires the ability to work well with colleagues from Redrow, employees of other contractors and, most importantly, Redrow customers.
“Petra is a very talented and committed worker and we are glad to have her in the organisation.”
Redrow is currently building homes at developments in and around Cardiff, Caerphilly, Neath, Bridgend, Cwmbran, Merthyr Tydfil, Porthcawl, Newport, Aberdare and Llantwit Fardre.
