Westbury development is splash hit

Thu, Feb 8th 2007, 11:00

More than a hundred people turned up for the launch of Lakeland’s Edge in Westbury and since then the interest has not subsided.

Redrow Homes’ development in the Wiltshire town will comprise 93 homes in a mixture of one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses.

Sandra Hughes, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West) says: “The high turn out for the launch last autumn was a really good indicator of the level of interest we have since received. There will be so many plus points to living at Lakeland’s Edge, including the beautiful location near to the lakes.”

And what’s more, a good percentage of Lakeland’s Edge’s future residents have made the decision to buy off-plan.

Sandra continues: “People who get in at the earliest stage generally have the pick of the plots. Another huge bonus is that buyers tend to get better prices if they buy at the beginning of a new development before show homes are open.

“At Lakeland’s Edge we have seen a lot of people buying off-plan. The great selection of homes and the desirability of the location have meant that a lot of properties have been sold before they have even been built.”

The marketing suite is set to open on site in February with the first new homes ready for occupation in June and fully furnished show homes are due to be unveiled in late April.

In the meantime, prices currently start from £130,000 for a two-bedroom apartment, from £205,000 for a three-bedroom Ivel style semi-detached home and from £237,995 for a four-bedroom semi-detached Ouse.

Inside, their specification includes fully fitted kitchen with stainless steel oven, hob and cooker hood, with a stylish choice of finishes for kitchen cabinets and worktops. Bathrooms feature elegant white Ideal Standard suites, with chrome finish taps and a choice of tiling to complement.

The variety of homes makes this development suitable for all kinds of home buyers, including young professionals, families and empty nesters.

Lakeland’s Edge enjoys an idyllic and well connected location - approximately 12 miles from the historical city of Bath.  The railway station is within walking distance where London is an hour and a half journey.  The development is close to two lakes and countryside alive with wildlife. The famous White Horse hill carving is also visible from this highly desirable venture.
