The regeneration’s complete

The massive regeneration project to transform an important brownfield site in Stoke on Trent into a beautiful new residential development is now complete.

Developer Redrow’s dream has been realised and the 61 homes that were built during the regeneration of the former gas works at Lakeside View in Etruria have now all been sold.

Among those who bought a home at the development is Steve Turner, 42, who moved into the four-bedroom, three-storey Neale show home at the development in May last year with his partner, Simon Wood.

Steve, who manages a driving school in Hanley, said: “Originally, we were looking around for inspiration for the colour scheme in our previous house, but we fell in love with the show home at Lakeside View and we realised it would be perfect for us. We found out it was up for sale and we decided to buy it.

“It was very convenient to be able to move into a home that was already fully furnished. The house has been perfect for us, and it is a great place to entertain friends and family.

“The development is a great place to live, as it is very peaceful considering how close to the centre of town it is. Also, the drive into Hanley is so easy from here, which is great for me.”
