With a little help from your friends

Moving to a new area, into a new home and with a new baby, first time mum Kirsten Stretch is now enjoying relaxed living in Launceston.

Home buying can be a busy time for anyone, but for Kirsten and husband Wayne, theirs was an even busier move, as they were relocating from Torquay to Launceston for Wayne’s work, with no real knowledge of the town and they had a baby on the way too!

However now all the couples worries are over as they’ve just settled into their new family home at Redrow’s Stourscombe Vale development. This is their first purchase together and they were looking for a spacious property to accommodate their new arrival and growing family.

The solution originally came about when a work colleague of Wayne’s suggested Redrow’s exclusive development of 174 homes in Launceston to Kirsten.

Kirsten, 27, says “I was not overly impressed with the new home developments that I had seen in the area and when Wayne’s friend suggested Stourscombe Vale, I must admit I was a bit apprehensive. However, I was so delighted when we finally visited the development.

“The houses were beautiful and the small touches were noticeable to me straight away. As well as it being a blank canvas so we were able to add our own style, the kitchen and bathroom are all great and brand new - perfect for our new start.”

“The fact that Redrow was recommended to us by a friend gave me confidence in the move and since moving in, I would be more than happy to recommend anyone to them in the future. The sales team were so helpful and approachable and they ensured our move was smooth and as stress-free as possible.”

Kirsten also appreciated the location set in the outskirts of the beautiful market town of Launceston. The development is almost a modern take on traditional Cornish life, secluded yet still conveniently close to local amenities.

Ed White, sales manager for Redrow Homes (West Country) says “I am delighted that Kirsten, Wayne and their new baby Jamie are enjoying their new home. This development is perfect for family life, the spacious range of detached and semi-detached properties allows plenty of room for expansion and the location is great for local schools.”

“I completely understand how daunting it must have been to move to a new area for her husband’s work with a new baby on the way and I am thrilled that our staff were able to help and support Kirsten and Wayne in finding their perfect home.”

Current availability at Stourscombe Vale includes the three bedroom semi-detached Hayward from £192,995 and the four-bedroom end terrace Ribble from £219995..
