A move to Kilwinning makes miles more sense

Mon, Jun 12th 2006, 11:00

The saying goes, ‘what a difference a day makes’ - but Kilwinning homebuyers are discovering what a difference half an hour makes.

For moving just 30 minutes out of Glasgow can save prospective purchasers more than £20,000.

The average property price in Glasgow is £109,381, compared to £86,005 in Kilwinning, according to website upmystreet.com.

Now, to celebrate the countdown to completion at its Dalgarven Meadows in Kilwinning, Redrow is offering homebuyers the opportunity to double that saving, thanks to a tailor made incentive package on the final five properties.

Moira Gillespie, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Scotland), said: “Our choice of cash saving gifts are worth £20,000 – which means a move to Kilwinning over Glasgow city centre could save canny buyers more than £40,000!

“Dalgarven Meadows has a wonderful location with easy access not only to Glasgow, thanks to improvements to the M77, but also Ayr, Irvine and Kilmarnock. A lot of customers have relocated here because of the value-for-money and a connected location which benefits from some stunning countryside.

“Whether buyers would benefit from having their legal fees paid, some cash back for a summer holiday, enhanced landscaping, or even stamp duty paid, our incentive package is all about individuality – we’re making it as easy as possible for buyers to claim one of our last five stunning homes.”

Dalgarven Meadows features an attractive selection of three and four-bedroom detached family homes in a mix of traditional two-storey and contemporary three-storey designs.

Among the final five are the four-bedroom Walkham and Ribble, which both feature an extra level of living space. Priced at £209,995 and £189,950 respectively, both are arranged over three floors and offer lounge, kitchen and cloakroom on the ground floor, while the Walkham has the additional benefits of a separate dining room and utility room on this level.

Moving up, the Walkham splits four bedrooms across two floors, with the master, second bedroom and a bathroom on the first floor and bedrooms three and four on the second floor. The Ribble offers bedrooms two, three and four on the first floor, dedicating the entire top floor to the master bedroom with en-suite.

Two alternative four-bedroom designs are also available; The Otter, priced at £175,995 and The Parrett, at £183,500, both traditional two-storey detached homes.

All homes at Dalgarven Meadows feature a garage, PVCu double glazed windows, gas central heating and modern standards of insulation to help ensure easy maintenance and potentially lower running costs.

Redrow’s maturing development of three and four-bedroom detached houses is really taking shape with established street scenes that benefit from well designed elevations and the use of stone sills that give the venture a traditional and welcoming feel.

Dalgarven Meadows is open from 10am to 5.30pm, Thursday through to Monday. To discover more, call the marketing suite on 01294 554729.
