Village life’s a master stroke

Fri, Feb 23rd 2007, 11:00

If the only thing stopping home buyers from moving to the highly desirable Cheshire village of Culcheth is selling their existing property, then one house builder may have a solution.

Budding home buyers can take advantage of Redrow’s special Mastermove service – and can find out more if they attend a promotional event at the exclusive Hob Hey venture next weekend (February 24th and 25th).

Christine Aitken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), explains: “Hob Hey is a really sought after development of traditionally-inspired homes in Culcheth. Many visitors fall in love with the idea of life here but then have the headache of trying to sell their current property first.

“This is where our new and improved Mastermove service can make all the difference. Mastermove is a value for money scheme offering a trouble-free way for home owners to sell their existing house and trade up to a brand new Redrow home.  We will manage the whole sales process, give purchasers regular updates, monitor the estate agent on a weekly basis and even pay the estate agent’s fees at the end of the day.”

The Hob Hey story began in 2005 when Redrow set about creating this totally one off venture of homes that fits in so well with the village. Apartments, terraces and large family residences have all featured here, and now there are only six homes left to sell.

The largest home on release is The Gatehouse, an eye-catching six-bedroom home that offers exclusivity and luxurious living.

The home features a lounge with French windows to the rear garden, a fabulous large kitchen, dining room, utility room and cloakroom on the ground floor.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms complete with en-suite, plus two further bedrooms and the family bathroom. The third floor features two further bedrooms each with en-suite and a store area. The home also boasts a detached double garage and is priced at £599,995.

Christine adds: “Whoever takes up residence in The Gatehouse will have a truly unique home. It’s a limited edition design that’s fitted to a really high standard throughout. It would be perfect for a growing family looking for the tranquil village life that Culcheth has in abundance.”

Other homes on release include four-bedroom mews homes, and another six-bedroom semi-detached home. Prices start from £329,995. Part-exchange is also available on request for selected properties.

The homes all enjoy an attractive courtyard setting with cobbles and ornate lamp post lighting, against a backdrop of beautiful mature trees all within walking distance of the village centre.

Culcheth is a commuter’s paradise. Located on the edge of the countryside, it provides traditional country life with the added benefit of a short commuting distance to both Warrington and Manchester.
