Selling like hot cakes

Forum is fast becoming the hot place to live in Bury St Edmunds as home buyers turn up the heat to make sure they get the apartment they want.

The first properties in the second phase of Redrow’s exciting apartment venture were released at the weekend and reservations reached double figures in two days.

Beryl Williams, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Eastern), says: “The interest in Forum has been absolutely fantastic. Home hunters are impressed by the scheme’s contemporary styling and excellent location close to Bury town centre and railway station.

“Like the launch in May, the second phase saw a wealth of interest from a range of home buyers, in fact potential customers were queuing before we even opened the office! We quickly sold the first eight apartments and still we had people wanting to buy, so we released another three apartments to make sure we helped as many people as possible to secure their perfect home at Forum.”

These latest reservations combined with earlier sales brings the total number of properties already sold at Forum to 54.

The whole of phase two – another 31 properties in total – has now been released for sale through Connell Estate Agents in the town.

Forum is located on Station Hill and will comprise three stylishly designed three and four-storey buildings arranged around a large landscaped courtyard garden.

The buildings have a contemporary theme with a wealth of rich materials being used to create a stunning exterior, such as glass stairwells, aluminium window frames and fascia cladding all complementing perfectly with the blend of cedar boarding wood cladding and silver grey render.

Forum’s other main characteristic is its superb location – opposite the town’s main train station – providing Bury with an eye-catching gateway to the city.

Beryl continues: “Being opposite the train station means professionals will have a reasonably easy journey to work to places such as Ipswich and Cambridge, while even London Liverpool Street is only just over one hour and 40 minutes away.”

Home buyers will also be pleased to know that Forum provides excellent security with a gated entrance and parking included within the £124,5000 starting prices for a one-bedroom apartment or from around £149,500 for a two-bedroom property, making it the ideal choice for first time buyers looking for the perfect home to help them onto the property ladder.

The development is just half a mile from Bury town centre, which offers a wealth of restaurants, bars and shopping as well as a theatre and an annual arts festival.
