A ‘model’ development that’s leading the pack

Jupiter certainly stands out from the crowd with its sleek design, contemporary apartments and a cool location.
And now the developer behind the project is once again one step ahead of the competition with an interactive model that’s believed to be a first for Birmingham.
Redrow has invested heavily in a fully interactive scaled-down model of its award-winning Jupiter apartments and state of the art technology – to help home buyers visualise the property they’re buying into. It has been installed to coincide with the release of apartments from Jupiter’s last major phase.
The kit comprises a touch-screen computer, life-like model of the apartments and a big screen, is totally interactive and allows buyers to get a better look at Jupiter and its surrounding areas.
Julia Pallister, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands) says: “Only a handful of developers across the country have this type of technology and we’re confident visitors to our marketing suite on Canal Square will love exploring all it has to offer.
“We’ve had a great reaction so far, as it allows buyers to get a great perspective of the development via a rotating, scaled-down model, while a real life view of the fantastic city is projected onto a huge screen.
“There is the option to pick a specific plot, which will then be lit up on the model to give buyers a better idea of where it’s positioned. They can also home in on this plot to pull up floorplans on the screen.
“Or, they can choose to look at a 360º panoramic view of Birmingham on the big screen, taken from the summit of Jupiter. Browsers can also select from various options like leisure and amenities, which will then flag up the locations of bars, restaurants or even health centres on the screen, all relative to the position of Jupiter.”
The model also allows buyers to print floor plans, price lists and specifications.
Julia continues: “We’ve had a lot of success at Jupiter, due to its fantastic location and beautifully designed apartments, and this latest technology means that buyers can really see what they’re buying into. Many of our sales are off-plan, so it’s important to give purchasers as much information as possible.”
To further inform and appeal to customers, Redrow is also getting ready to open a brand new show apartment.
Julia adds: “For our final phase we wanted to create a real fashion statement to appeal to city loving home buyers. The show apartment will certainly elevate city centre living to a new ‘fashion’ level.
“Our interior designers, Birmingham-based Connections in Design, have really gone to town, using a colour scheme of tranquil colours such as light golds and lilac greys. It’s sure to appeal to forward-thinking city dwellers, who deserve nothing less than a stylish, laid back haven.”
Jupiter recently picked up the second highest ranking in CABE’s Housing Audit with an 80% score – making the regeneration project only one of two out of 100 audited developments in the Midlands, East Midlands and South West to be deemed ‘very good’.
Prices currently start from £99,950 for a studio apartment, from £129,412 for a one-bedroom property and two-bedroom apartments have a £210,950 upwards price tag.
