Home hunters in the historic, cathedral city of Lichfield looking for a stylish, innovatively designed new home will find just what they are looking for at Redrow Homes’ latest venture.
City Wharf, in Wharf Close, off Upper St John Street, offers two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses in a location that’s perfect for families, downsizers and commuters alike.
The development is very close to the centre of Lichfield and also to the train station, which offers journey times to Birmingham New Street of a little over half-an-hour.
Redrow’s desirable new development is now open for business, with two-bedroom apartments and four-bedroom houses the first ready to be snapped up.
Julia Pallister, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands) says: “It’s great to finally launch sales here at City Wharf and we’ve had a good response – we’ve already taken a number of reservations and lots more people have registered their interest.
“Cool designs, sleek facades and innovative layouts combine fantastically to create a collection of apartments and houses, which are anything but ordinary. Whether you're single, a couple or a growing family, City Wharf offers the perfect solution to your living needs. You can work here, learn here, shop here and relax here. Thanks to the development's perfectly balanced location, you can be sure that an early morning drive or train journey to work is as stress-free as a late evening bike ride.”
One of the larger properties currently on release at City Wharf is the four-bedroom Teign. This home makes use of a versatile third floor which houses three bedrooms and a bathroom. The Teign also has a large family and dining room, kitchen, downstairs cloakroom, lounge, en-suite to master bedroom, fitted wardrobes and storage cupboards. Prices start at £235,000.
Apartments are also available, in the shape of the two-bedroom Avon, from £151,950 and the two-bedroom Allen. The latter comes with a kitchen, lounge and dining area, fitted wardrobe, storage space and an integral single garage below. The Allen starts at £159,950.
Other family homes include the four-bedroom Tay townhouse, from £232,950.
Julia continues: “Buyers with an existing property to sell can choose to use Redrow’s Mastermove service on any of the released properties. We take the stress out of moving by helping them to sell their existing property and paying the estate agent’s fees, so that all our customer has to think about is moving into their new home.”
To show off the fantastic lifestyle available at City Wharf, a show home has also opened. The two-bedroom Canterbury home makes use of neutral tones with splashes of lime alongside eye catching artwork and lighting features to create a thoroughly modern, homely feel.
When finished, City Wharf will incorporate 132 homes and more than 40,000 sq ft of office accommodation. The development offers as much in terms of quality and stylish appearance as it does in location, with carefully selected contemporary designs for both the residential dwellings and office accommodation, so that the architecture becomes ‘seamless’ between the two uses.
Lichfield is well positioned – it offers an excellent communications network with the A38 providing direct links to the M6, M42 and M54. Walsall is around 20 minutes away while Cannock can be reached in 15 minutes.
As well as Birmingham city centre, Lichfield City train station provides services to Nottingham, London and beyond.
To find out more about life at City Wharf, visit the show home on Wharf Close between 12pm and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am – 5.30pm, Saturday and Sunday. Alternatively, speak to a Redrow sales consultant on 0845 676 0440.
